Star Wars Legend Qui-Gon Jinn Celebrated With New 2027 Release

The Star Wars prequels have come full circle. Although the response at the time was polarizing, they've become a sticking point for many fans, not to mention the nostalgia factor. While there have always been things people love about the prequels, the community has reevaluated them over the years.

As a result, merchandise is becoming even more frequent, especially as prequel characters show up more and more in modern Disney projects. Now, it's time for Qui-Gon Jinn to shine. As revealed by Sideshow, there's a new release coming in 2027 for Qui-Gon Jinn, and fans should take note.

To celebrate the legacy of Qui-Gon Jinn, Hoy Toys is selling a sixth-scale figure of the iconic prequel character. As a 1/6-scale statue, it features Liam Neeson's likeness, with "separate rolling eyeballs," a "half-up brown hairstyle," and "graying accents."

Here's what you can expect in terms of its kit: "His multi-layered fabric Jedi attire features a beige colored tabard, outer tunic, inner tunic, and obi, paired with brown pants. To provide more display options, the figure includes a dark brown Jedi robe and a weathered gray poncho. Both outer garments are thoughtfully embedded with bendable wire for dramatic, wind-swept displays. His utility belt and long boots are crafted from a dark brown leather-like microfiber material, ensuring durability alongside striking visual authenticity."

"Ready to face the mysterious Sith threat, Qui-Gon is equipped with a green lightsaber with LED-lighted and standard hilt options, alongside interchangeable blades. Further elevating the figure are meticulously recreated accessories, including a liquid-cable launcher, a Hush-98 comlink, an imagecaster, and three unique holograms featuring Master Yoda, Mace Windu, and the Naboo Royal Starship. A specially designed figure stand with the Star Wars logo and character nameplate completes this incredible package."

The character has remained a staple part of the mythos for decades despite only being fully featured in one film. When people think of Liam Neeson's most iconic roles, it's easy to drift to Qui-Gon.

The Qui-Gon Jinn statue is expected to ship from April 2027 through September 2027, so you have a way to go before it actually arrives. Clocking in at $295 for the Collector's Edition and $405 for the Artisan Edition, it's a pricey figure, especially at the premium level. Currently, the latter SKU is relegated to a waitlist, while the former is still available.
