Pokémon Legends: Z-A Free Download Available Now For Extremely Limited Time

Pokemon Legends ZA Marshadow

Though all of the excitement is understandably circulating around Pokémon Winds and Waves right now, that isn't going to be in player hands until next year. In the meantime, we'll still need to get our fix of creature collection and battling, and that's where Pokémon Legends: Z-A remains the best bet.

The single-player can only do so much, with the main story taking around 20 hours to beat, but happily, the multiplayer modes have plenty of new content going on. The latest of those events is about to draw to a close, and if you move quickly, there are still plenty of worthwhile rewards you can pick up for your character.

As detailed on the official Pokémon website, Pokémon Legends: Z‑A Ranked Battles Season 14 is currently ongoing. The special season comes with its own unique ruleset, as only Flying-type Pokémon from the Lumiose Pokédex and Hyperspace Pokédex are allowed to be used in battles.

This restriction makes battles very interesting to set up for, and finding an edge is going to be difficult with a much more limited pool. As part of the event, you can pick up the usual battle rewards, promotion rewards, and season rewards for your character, with the latter two being where the really juicy stuff is found.

The full list of season rewards this time around is as follows:

Rank A

  • Pretty Feather ×300

Rank B to Rank E

  • Pretty Feather ×200

Rank F to Rank R

  • Pretty Feather ×100

Rank S and Below

  • Pretty Feather ×50

Additionally, you can also get Greninjite, Delphoxite, Chesnaughtite, Baxcalibrite, Sceptilite, Swampertite, and Blazikenite stones as promotion rewards for rising from Rank Y through Rank S, respectively.

In order to get involved and take part in Ranked Battles, all you need to do is the following:

  1. Launch your Pokémon Legends: Z-A game.
  2. Press the X Button to open the main menu.
  3. Select Link Play.
  4. Select Ranked Battles.

The only real major caveat is that, as with all seasons, it's time-limited, so you're running out of time to progress and move up the ladder. All of the current rewards and incentives, as well as the season itself, go away on August 6, so make sure to get everything sorted before that.

Other than enjoying the multiplayer, it's simply going to be a case of sitting tight for more information on Winds and Waves. Those in charge of Pokémon may even have some more announcements for us as part of the franchise's 30th anniversary celebrations, so keep everything crossed in the meantime.
