Pokopia DLC: Expansion Pass release window and what to expect
After a hit launch, we're looking forward to some Pokémon Pokopia DLC with Part 1 of the Expansion Pass coming up soon!
The Pokopia DLC will be split into parts, but you only need to buy it once to get access to all of it.
So, if you're looking forward to checking out Part 1 when it releases soon, here's what you need to know about the upcoming Pokopia DLC.
When does the Pokopia DLC release? All Expansion Pass release windows
The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass is set to release in three parts across 2026 and 2027.
Here are the release windows for the three Pokopia DLC updates:
- Part 1 (Bubbly Basin) – August 2026
- Part 2 (TBC) –Late 2026
- Part 3 (TBC) – 2027
In preparation for the first DLC, Bubbly Basin, to release, players will need to complete the request 'Raise the environment level!' in the Bleak Beach area.
You will also need to learn the new move Dive, which will be added to the game as part of a free update released in August alongside the first DLC, as it will be required to access the new DLC area.
Can I pre-order the Pokopia DLC?
Yes, the Pokopia DLC is now available for pre-order.
Players can purchase it directly from the Nintendo eShop for £29.99 / $34.99.
You will only need to purchase the Expansion Pass once in order to get access to all three parts of the DLC as and when they release.
Pokopia's first DLC update will add the new underwater town of Bubbly Basin.
In the town, players will be able to encounter new Pokémon such as Popplio, acquire new furniture and outfits, and complete new requests on their way to revitalising the area, as they have done in previous zones.
Additionally, players who purchase the Expansion Pass will unlock new dynamic Ditto print blocks and wallpaper, as well as 30 Pokémetal ingots if purchased before 31 August 2027.
While we have no confirmed details about Part 2 and Part 3 of the Pokopia DLC, we do know that Part 2 will not introduce a new town, but is set to "introduce additional new features to help develop your Pokémon utopia."
Part 3 will add "a new town to explore and rebuild," though further details have not been confirmed.
