Is Aniimo multiplayer? How to play co-op explained

Free-to-play RPG Aniimo has finally released, but is Aniimo multiplayer?
You might be looking to explore the game's massive open world with friends, and want to know if there's any co-op support before you try it out.
So, here's a quick overview of the Aniimo multiplayer situation and how it all works.
Is Aniimo multiplayer?
Aniimo has full multiplayer support for up to four players in a single lobby.
Basically, when you start playing the game, you can invite up to three other players to a party of four, letting you all play the game together on the same world.
The game also features voice chat in-game, in case you would rather use that than an external program like Discord.
If you're looking for people to play with, there's also a global chat function to help you meet new friends to play together, as well as just walking up to people at Outposts.
As for how to actually play together…
How to play co-op in Aniimo explained
If you want to play with friends in Aniimo, there are only a few steps you need to take.
First, from the in-game menu, open up the 'Friends' section, where you'll find a search bar.
Type in your friend's username or ID, and once they pop up, send them a friend request.
When they've accepted your request and have been added to your friends list, an icon will appear on the far right of their profile.
Click this icon and they will be sent an invite to join your party.
Aniimo features full crossplay support across PC, consoles and mobile devices, so no matter what platform you and your friends are playing on, you'll always be able to jump in together.
Well, so long as there are no more than four of you!
