Fortnite's New Cube Sprites Have Finally Arrived (Here's All 8 New Designs)

Love them or hate them, Sprites have certainly made an impression during the current Fortnite season. Some fans already suspect that Sprites won’t be leaving any time soon, though that remains to be confirmed. Regardless of what happens next season, Fortnite is clearly all in on Sprites for the time being. That includes today’s drop of 8 brand-new Cube Sprite variants, which is officially live as of 9 AM ET on July 23rd. If you’re in the gotta collect ’em all game this season, now is the time to jump back in and snag the new designs.

These new Cube Sprites come as part of Fortnite‘s weekly reset, dubbed “New Sprite Day.” The new designs leaked via dataminers earlier this season, but are only now available in-game for Fortnite players to hunt down. Along with giving existing Sprites a new look, the Cube Sprites will also have unique abilities to boost Fortnite players. Let’s take a look at the new designs before you head back into the fray to add them to your Sprite collection.

New Sprite Day brings an influx of new Sprites to Fortnite yet again. The July 23rd drop brings the highly anticipated Cube Sprites. There are a total of 8 new variants, which should begin spawning starting at 9 AM ET. Here’s the full list of new designs, as revealed by dataminers.

  • Cube Batman
  • Cube Boss
  • Cube Dream
  • Cube Earth
  • Cube Fire
  • Cube Fishstick
  • Cube Grim Reaper
  • Cube Punk

Each of the Cube Sprites will have a special effect that gives players Overdrive when they’re in the Storm. They also just look plain cool, with a shimmery purple color. In addition to the Cube Sprites, the new Pollo Sprite will also begin spawning naturally starting today, making it easier to find.

What’s Next for Fortnite Sprites

Following today’s drop of the new Fortnite Cube Sprites, there’s one more big event to look forward to. Saturdays are Shiny Power Hours for Sprites this season, and this Saturday, July 25th is no exception. Shiny Power Hour will return this week, running from 2 PM – 4 PM ET and again from 9 PM to 11 PM ET.

This recurring event boosts your chances to find rare Sprite variants, specifically the Holofoil, Gold, Gummy, and Galaxy versions. So far, we don’t have any reason to believe that the new Cube variants will also be boosted. Even so, it’s a great chance to fill in the gaps in your collection of rare Sprites in preparation for the next Mastery Monday.

We don’t yet have confirmation for which new Sprites will arrive on the following New Sprite Day. However, we do know that Fortnite still needs to drop the fan-designed Sprites, which have yet to be revealed. There are also almost certainly more surprises in the works before our current Sprite-filled season ends on August 19th.
