Gears of War E-Day open beta headlines Xbox Free Play Days
Xbox players can now jump into the latest Free Play Days offer, and this time there are three games they can try out. The latest offer touts access to Sunderfolk and Asdivine Cross, as well as the highly anticipated Gears of War E-Day open beta.
All the games available this weekend require a Game Pass subscription. This means you will need to be an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, or Essential holder to jump into them.
Sunderfolk lands as a tactical RPG attempting to recreate the feel of a tabletop game. Up to four players choose from six classes before teaming up to protect the village of Arden from threats. The co-op works via a companion app that players can load up on their phones.
Meanwhile, Asdivine Cross is a 2D turn-based fantasy RPG that attempts to appeal to retro JRPG fans with its classic art style and gameplay systems. The story follows Harvey, an outlaw who teams up with a princess after crossing paths during a jailbreak, launching them into a quest to prevent a war.
Lastly, the Gears of War E-Day open beta has finally kicked off, letting PC and console players squad up and play the multiplayer modes through the weekend. The new 12-player Horde Siege co-op mode and the 4vs4 versus PvP mode are now available. There are rewards you can unlock for the full game by playing in the beta too.
