GTA 6 gameplay footage and map seem to leak online ahead of new trailer
It's been a long time since the last GTA 6 trailer landed, but thanks to some recent leaks, we may have just seen our first proper glimpse of gameplay.
Last night, two videos appeared online focused on protagonist Jason.
The first video showed Jason playing basketball outside his home, while the other showed Jason driving a car and fighting with an NPC.
Furthermore, an image appearing to show the full GTA 6 map was also reportedly leaked.
While these leaks appear to be real, we don't know how old these assets are, nor how they came to be leaked.
All three leaks appear to have come via a cryptocurrency collective, and since they landed online, Rockstar and parent company Take-Two have been working double time to remove any and all uploads from social media.
Considering the leaks have arrived just over a week before Rockstar was set to reveal more details as part of a Netflix-exclusive extended look, it does suggest that this leaked content was set to feature as part of that.
While Rockstar has been resolutely secretive about GTA 6 over the years, it has been plagued by bouts of leaks all the same.
Footage of an early version of GTA 6 was leaked back in 2022, while the first GTA 6 trailer was leaked in the hours leading up to its premiering on YouTube.
With exactly three months to go until GTA 6 is set to release for real, Rockstar will be desperate to avoid any more leaks going forward.
