This simple Skyrim sorcery glitch will get you a 100% destruction stat in no time

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim players need to know about this one, a quick trick to instantly level up your sorcery build.
In truth, the magic in Skyrim is pretty lame. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind did it best by letting us create our own spells, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was good fun too.
Hopefully, The Elder Scrolls VI gives it the overhaul it sorely needs, but in the meantime, here’s how to have fun with your Skyrim magic build right out of the gate, rather than hours and hours in.
How to level up your Destruction stat to 100 quickly and easily
Performing this trick is simple, and it recently made Phhiish’s playthrough on TikTok much easier.
You will, however, need a few things to get started. First, you’ll need to be playing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Special Edition, as it relies on DLC included in it.
Next, you’ll need to retrieve the Unbound Storms spell from Hobs Fall Cave. You’ll find the cave north of Dawnstar and Winterhold, and once you’ve made it inside, you’re looking for a chest in the boss room.
Once you’ve got the spell, all you need to do is equip it, cast the spell and then immediately open the map to fast-travel as far away from your current location as possible.
When you exit fast-travel, your Destruction stat should have increased, and you can then repeat the process until you hit 100. It’s as simple as that.
Obviously, there’s still a bit of work involved as you need to track down the spell and have enough magic points to cast it, but it sure as hell beats grinding Destruction the old-fashioned way.
It’ll also quickly equip you for whatever magic build you’re looking to create, as all of the Destruction spells will be available to you as long as you’ve learned them.
Skyrim is still hailed as one of the best games ever made and it still has such an enormous playerbase over 15 years later. Even now, SteamDB says there are 30,000 people playing at the time of writing.
However, starting up a new playthrough when you don’t have access to your usual gear/abilities can sometimes feel like a slog, so there’s no shame in taking advantage of the odd exploit here and there to give you a head start.
Mods are also important. In fact, we don’t think Skyrim would be the same without mods. The base game is excellent, but it’s been kept alive by a dedicated community of modders who endeavour to provide as much new content as possible.
There are going to be people still playing Skyrim even when The Elder Scrolls VI comes out, largely because of the mods.
In the meantime, however, there are plenty of other games worth playing if you like Bethesda’s definitive masterpiece, and don’t fancy giving Fallout another go for whatever reason.
