Nando Between Two Worlds Is A Key Part Of The Hit Netflix Series
The crime thriller is a spinoff film of the Netflix TV show Sintonia that ran for five seasons from 2019 to 2025.
The series centered on a group of friends in São Paulo who deal with friendship and injustice, all while trying to reach for their dreams in life. Sontonia earned rave reviews from audiences, who gave it a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes.
After the series came to an end, Netflix began developing a film to wrap up the story. The end result is the just-released Nando Between Two Worlds — A Sintonia Film, with Christian Malheiros, Júlia Yamaguchi, Bruna Mascarenhas and Jottapê all reprising their characters from the TV show.
In Nando Between Two Worlds, the titular character, now in Serbia, faces the unthinkable: his daughter goes missing. He travels back to Brazil and discovers how much danger his family is in. He's forced to reckon with the choices he's made in the criminal world and how they've affected his personal life, especially his family.
Johnny Araújo directed Nando Between Two Worlds, and Guilherme Quintella, Denis Nielsen and Léo Todeschini wrote the script. Caio Gullane, Ana Saito, Marina Puech Leão and Cristiane Façanha were involved with the Netflix film as executive producers.
