A Court of Thorns And Roses Officially Returns October 6
Fans of Sarah J. Maas have been eagerly awaiting books 6 and 7 in the A Court of Thorns and Roses (ACOTAR) series for quite some time now, but thankfully that wait is nearly over. In fact, not only are we going to be getting book 6 in just a couple more months, on October 27, but there are two more official ACOTAR releases also coming that same month.
In the decade since the very first ACOTAR book was released, the series has quickly grown to be one of the biggest romantasy book series available today. The romantic fantasy series has sold over 13 million books, not to mention the two other book series taking place in the same multiverse, Throne of Glass and Crescent City.
Now, not just one but two major board games are bringing that world to the table for players to immerse themselves in.
The first is a newly announced strategy board game by Goliath Games which was shown off to lucky attendees of Gen Con 2026. A Court of Thorns and Roses: Fate and Favor is an official board game inspired by the ACOTAR series, featuring many familiar characters and locations within the world of Prythian. Players can become a High Lord or Lady of one of the seven courts and navigate court politics, including some moments from the franchise. Forge alliances while navigating shifting loyalties to earn favor in Prythian.

The game will be offered in three versions, one being a special Bookseller Variant with exclusive packaging, as well as a Target Exclusive Edition, though the games are otherwise the same. It will be available this October for $24.99, just prior to the release of ACOTAR 6. If you're looking to pre-order the game, we recommend checking with your local bookseller, or you can preorder from the Target website. Some are stating that the game will launch as early as October 6, with Target listing October 11 as their release date.

And if that isn't enough, yet another board game in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series is also arriving on October 1. Hasbro is releasing an official ACOTAR inspired edition of Monopoly, featuring numerous familiar locations around Prythian, including Velaris and The Townhouse where Boardwalk and Park Place normally stand. Sadly, only content from the first three books is used for this game, but that is still plenty for fans to enjoy.
Two versions of this game will also be released, with the standard being designed in the traditional red look of the iconic novel, and then a beautiful green variant as an Amazon exclusive.
Although we are sadly still awaiting news of the title and blurb for ACOTAR 6, we know it has to be coming soon. At least having these stunning new board games might help pass the time while we wait for the newest A Court of Thorns and Roses book to arrive later in October.
