GTA 6 Collector's Edition revealed - it doesn't include the game and its price tag is massive

Rockstar has unveiled the collector’s set for GTA 6 at an insanely steep price point, but shockingly, it doesn’t even come with a digital code for the game.

The GTA 6 Collector’s Edition is essentially a glorified merch package, featuring Vice City-themed tat primarily inspired by Leonida’s favourite TV show, Macca the Gator.

The box includes a Macca the Gator figurine, a snapback hat, a pair of GTA 6 exclusive sunglasses, and get this, even a decorative Vice City spoon alongside much more.

Charging fans a whopping £349.99 / $400 for the full set, this amount of physical merch is rather ironic considering that Rockstar has chosen not to put GTA 6 on a physical game disc.

Rockstar have also decided to put the GTA 6 soundtrack on a physical vinyl, making their decision to produce the game as solely digital only even more questionable.

But besides not including the game in the bundle, it is arguably outrageous to charge £349.99 for a few GTA 6 accessories and some stickers thrown in for good measure, and it’s surely only a matter of time before you'll be able to buy knockoffs on Temu.

And when you consider that the GTA 6 PS5 controllers are £74.99, a pretty standard price point for limited edition hardware, £349.99 seems even more ridiculous.

Of course, this has prompted outrage online, with users accusing Rockstar of greed, trying to squeeze every penny they can out of fans, especially when you factor in GTA 5's collector’s bundle which came at a much smaller price point of $149.99 with a physical game disc.

Many have claimed that the merch looks cheap, alongside expressing shock about the bundle not even bothering to include the game which costs £69.99.

Pre-orders for the collector’s edition are open now, and will arrive on 19 November to coincide with GTA 6’s release – however, you’ll have to buy a digital copy of the game separately.
