Join Us For An Exclusive Screening Of Ryan Reynolds & Kenneth Branagh's Action Comedy Mayday
ScreenRant is hosting an early screening of Mayday in Montréal on September 2, and we want you there! Mayday stars Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh as spies, but this isn’t your typical spy movie. With the stunts and fights of an action flick, the comedy of a buddy movie, and the twists and turns of a spy thriller, Mayday is a movie that puts its own spin on genre films.
In Mayday, Reynolds plays hotshot U.S. Navy pilot Lieutenant Troy "Assassin" Kelly who is sent on a top-secret mission behind enemy lines during the height of the Cold War. When the operation goes south, leaving him stranded in Russia, Kelly has to work with an ex-KGB agent, Nikolai Ustinov, played by Branagh, to escape. Luckily, his new Russian friend has a fondness for all things American, meaning there might be hope that these two unlikely characters can form an alliance.
The film is written, directed, and produced by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, who were also behind Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and Game Night. The pair also wrote the script for Spider-Man: Homecoming alongside that film’s director, Jon Watts. Judging by their past projects, Mayday is sure to be a fun and funny time at the movies. The best part of the screening is getting the chance to see Mayday on the big screen with a crowd before it premieres on Apple TV on September 4.

Mayday was filmed in Montréal so it only makes sense to celebrate the film there with a screening. ScreenRant and Apple TV’s screening of Mayday will take place on Wednesday, September 2 at Cinéma du Musée located at 1379-A Rue Sherbrooke O in Montréal. Check-in will take place at 6:00 PM. The movie will begin at 7:00 PM.
