This Web Tool Lets You Create 360-Degree Illustrations

It's a really fun way to sketch.

JUNOTA's Gururi Paint looks very useful for creating rough background sketches. You can draw while looking around the surrounding space, giving you a better sense of the environment. It includes basic tools like a brush, palette, fill, eyedropper, eraser, and layers, plus adjustable canvas and grid settings.

The basic controls are simple: hold Space and drag to look around, and hold Z and drag to zoom. According to JUNOTA, Gururi Paint is still a work in progress, and they plan to keep improving it and adding new features over time.

Gururi Paint quickly went viral after its release, so the developer launched Gururi Watch, an online gallery where you can explore 360° illustrations. Try Gururi Paint here, and scroll down to see examples of drawings created with it:
