Netflix Is About To Set Theatrical History In 2 Months
Netflix is about to make theatrical history in two months with an upcoming movie.
After opposing theatrical releases for years, the streaming service is finally warming up to them, with The Adventures of Cliff Booth, directed by David Fincher and written by Quentin Tarantino, set for a two-week IMAX release on November 25, and Greta Gerwig's Narnia set to become the first Netflix film to receive a wide theatrical release on February 12.
Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, La Bola Negra will receive the longest theatrical release ever for a Netflix film, releasing in theaters in the United States on October 16 before streaming on December 2, with this 47-day window breaking the 31-day record set by Noah Baumbach's Marriage Story in 2019.
More to come...
