Tom Holland & Zendaya Fan Cast By Disney Legend For Live-Action Remake

Tom Holland and Zendaya are currently on a major box office run after appearing in the likes of Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey together. Separately, Zendaya has also appeared in A24's The Drama and will return to theaters in December for the highly anticipated Dune: Part Three. Now, a Disney legend has chosen Hollywood's It couple for an iconic on-screen duo in Disney's live-action remake of a beloved classic.
In an interview with Deadline, Susan Egan, who voiced Meg in the animated Hercules movie, gave her ideal casting choices for Disney's planned live-action remake of the 1997 classic. It was confirmed in 2022 that Hercules would be getting Disney's remake treatment, with Joe and Anthony Russo attached as producers, and the legendary Guy Ritchie as the director. With the MCU veterans at the helm, Egan's casting choice could lead somewhere. The star stated:
"I mean, I've been subtly saying Zendaya, but now I'm just going to say it. And probably Tom and Zendaya, who I have never met, are filing for a restraining order right now. But honestly, I don't even care.
I feel like the world needs it. Not even because they are the it couple right now. It's not even that. I have watched her beautiful career from when she was a teenager, and she's just grounded.
She is a strong woman, obviously, statuesque and amazing, with an incredible voice and a little edge, don't you think?"
