VP of Engineering Left Xbox Just 2 Months After Getting Job

Jared Palmer moves fast.
Jared Palmer has left his position as VP of Engineering at Xbox 2 months after he got it, joining AI company Cognition to lead engineering instead. He said he is grateful to Xbox's CEO, Asha Sharma, and everyone at Xbox "for an amazing year."
Palmer started as VP of Product for Microsoft's CoreAI in October and moved to the engineering role in May. Some X/Twitter users are quite sarcastic about the quick change, but overall, he was supported, especially considering that Palmer has been in the AI business since 2023.
You might have heard of Cognition, as it created Devin, the first AI software engineer, who was not as great as advertised, it turned out. Still, the company seems to be doing well, and Palmer will try to make sure it stays this way.
