Rose Graceling-Moore is an author, poet, project manager and content manager, who has been writing about film, TV and comics since 2013, when she began writing for a local print magazine in Vancouver, BC. Since then, Rose has written for Horror Honeys, Moviepilot and Quirkbooks as well as Screenrant, initially focusing on comics and superheros, before moving into a focus on broader TV coverage, as well as diversity and representation on screen. Rose also co-hosted the DC Movies Podcast, and has guested on other nerd and entertainment podcasts over the past ten years. The first free ebook event in August is the Mystery and Crime Collection by BookBelow, with subgenres ranging from Mysteries to Crime, Thrillers, Suspense and more. The event listings launch at 6am MST, and unfortunately, there isn't a way to browse them in advance, however, with two days to download, there's plenty of time to find the best additions.

Every Other Stuff Your Kindle Event In August 2026

As usual, there are multiple Book Blast and Stuff Your Kindle events throughout August across a range of genres. This month features a Kids Stuff Your Kindle, which is less common as a genre for free book events, as well as the more common multi-genre, romance, sci-fi, and fantasy events. And while Pride month may have passed, the 2nd Annual Sapphic Shelf Explosion, as part of Year Of Queer Lit, is also happening this month.

August may have fewer Stuff Your Kindle and free eBook events than some other months, but it also has one of the widest genre ranges, so there should be plenty of free reading to tide you over till September's free ebook roundup!
