In an interview with Variety, Anthony Mackie cleared things up about Steve Rogers' appearance in Avengers: Doomsday and whether or not the MCU veteran is back as Captain America. Mackie, who plays Sam Wilson, a.k.a. the new Captain America, stated, "No - Steve Rogers in the comic book — There is a comic book. You say you're a nerd. Read the comic book.
