The new LEGO Batman Returns Batmobile goes on sale today – how to buy the iconic Tim Burton set in the UK
LEGO has finally released the fan-favourite Batmobile from Tim Burton's 1989 classic Batman Returns, completing its full line-up of the Dark Knight's iconic vehicles.
The toy giant celebrated 20 years of LEGO Batman earlier this year by releasing a string of new Gotham-themed sets and, of course, the new game LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.
Among these sets was a model of every single Batmobile from the live-action movies, running from Val Kilmer's Batman Forever to Robert Pattinson's The Batman.
The only car left off was perhaps the most loved from original big-screen Batman, Michael Keaton... until now.
This 2,000+ piece set celebrates Keaton's second film Batman Returns, also starring Danny DeVito as Penguin and Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman. The Batmobile from said film has a recognisable long design with the middle compartment able to split off from the two winged sides.
It also comes with a commemorative Batman minifigure and podium, so you can remember the franchise that started off this long tradition of Caped Crusader movies. Here's how you can buy this new set today.

The Batman Returns Batmobile will be available exclusively at the LEGO Store from 4 September 2026. Unusually, there's no pre-order period for this set, so you'll be able to buy it for any time from today, but note that LEGO has put a limit of a maximum three purchases due to the sets popularity.

This new Batmobile costs £189.99 – by far the most expensive vehicle in the LEGO Batman range. The next closest is the Dark Knight LEGO Tumbler for £169.99.

A whopping 2,269 pieces make up this LEGO Batmobile, including a Michael Keaton Batman minifigure. Because of this high brick count, the set is understandably 18+.
