Palworld Online MMO announced with first details, and it's coming sooner than you might think

Garena has announced a new Palworld MMO, titled Palworld Online, set to be released on mobile later this year.

In a blog post, Garena stated that Palworld Online "reimagines the depth, freedom, and scale of the original PC survival creature-collecting title for mobile".

Developed by Garena as an officially licensed spinoff from Pocketpair, the game follows the huge success of Palworld 1.0 on Steam.

As a pocket-sized Palworld, Palworld Online will encourage cooperation between players as they traverse an open world full of creature-collecting, while focusing on mobile accessibility with a touch-friendly interface.

On the development President of Garena, Terry Zhao, said: "Palworld is a widely recognised IP, and we see an opportunity to bring the essence of the PC title to mobile in a way that encourages players to connect and venture together."

Takuro Mizobe, CEO of Pocketpair, also added: "Garena has extensive experience in global publishing, localisation, and live operations for mobile games.

"We are pleased to work with Garena on the licensed development of Palworld Online and look forward to seeing a new Palworld experience brought to players worldwide."

For many players, this widely available new MMO will be an introduction into the series.

More details, including an exact launch date, will be unveiled in future updates.
