Beacon Pines and We Were Here Together are free on the Epic Games Store

If you're looking for more PC games to play without opening your wallet, the Epic Games Store has just kicked off its latest giveaway. The OTXO and Sol Cesto freebies from last week have now come to an end, with two more premium games taking their place. The games We Were Here Together and Beacon Pines are yours to add permanently to your Epic Games Store library within the next seven days.

From the new duo, Beacon Pines lands as a "cute and creepy" adventure that has players flipping through a story book as they play the game. Taking the role of the youngster Luka, you'll be roaming around his hometown with his friends while investigating some strange occurrences that are not being noticed by the adults.

"While helping Luka investigate the strange goings-on in Beacon Pines, you’ll collect special golden charms, each with a word engraved on it," adds developer Hiding Spot. These charms can be used at certain turning points in the story to fill in a blank word and drastically change everything that follows.

The next game is for co-op fans. We Were Here Together can only be played with two players. This first-person title has you and a friend relying on walkie-talkies to communicate and solve asymmetrical puzzles while stuck in the frozen Antarctic.

"You and your partner start out with nothing but your wits and a walkie-talkie each," says the developer Total Mayhem. "Observation, smart communication and teamwork will be the only way to escape from the sinister Castle Rock."

The brand-new We Were Here Together and Beacon Pines giveaways are available for you to grab until August 13 on the Epic Games Store, giving you seven days to claim the latest offer.
