A Hollywood icon's Marvel Cinematic Universe dream is officially coming to fruition.
Several new heroes have joined the MCU timeline over the last couple of phases throughout The Multiverse Saga. While Marvel Studios is currently focusing on finishing Phase 6, things are about to heat up in the franchise in the coming years.
Marvel Studios' Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2026 is underway, with ScreenRant in attendance, as it was officially revealed that Ryan Gosling is joining the MCU as Ghost Rider. Shawn Levy will direct the solo film, which is set to open in theaters in 2028. The Barbie star gave the following statement to the crowd about finally landing his dream role: "You know this is a character I've wanted to play for a long time"
This will mark their second big collaboration under Disney, as Gosling will headline Levy's Star Wars: Starfighter in 2027.
