Warner Bros. Confirmed Hogwarts Legacy 2 in a Shareholder Letter

What would you like to see in the sequel?
Hogwarts Legacy came out in 2023 and quickly became a success for Avalanche Software and Warner Bros. Games. It sold 12 million copies during its first two weeks, making it the fastest-selling game in Warner Bros. Games history.
Since then, fans have been hoping for a sequel, and there have been rumors about a multiplayer mode. Still, nothing was revealed until now, when, in a Shareholder Letter tied to Q2 2026 that was published on August 6, Warner Bros. confirmed that a second title is in development.
"We expect Games to more meaningfully contribute to segment profitability going forward as our pipeline expands, including the second installment of Hogwarts Legacy."
So far, Avalanche hasn't said anything about the game. We don't know if it will keep the same title, what the gameplay will look like, or whether it will include multiplayer mode.
A launch date is also unknown, though the release of the Harry Potter series on Christmas Day 2026, could bring more information.
