Pokémon As We Know It Officially Changes Forever February 25, 2027
Custom image by Katarina CimbaljevicIt's truly the end of an era for Pokémon. As fans gear up for Winds and Waves releasing in 2027, arguably even bigger news has been announced for next year also. For years, the ability to store Pokémon outside of the video games has been a core part of any fan's collection process, with Pokémon Bank eventually being (mostly) replaced by Pokémon HOME in 2020. Now, that process is set to change forever in February.
With the storage for your Pokémon moving to Pokémon HOME in recent years, the official Pokémon Bank will be shutting down for good. According to the official Pokémon website, Pokémon Bank will close down forever on February 25, 2027. Wario64 also shared the news via a post on X, which you can view below.
