Soulslike RPG Valor Mortis Will Launch at Lower Price

Valor Mortis is a soulslike RPG that will have you playing as a former soldier of Napoleon's army who rises from the dead and now wields supernatural powers. The game is being developed by One More Level, the studio behind the cyberpunk game Ghostrunner.
The game was announced during Gamescom 2025's Opening Night Live, and at the time, its price was $49.99. Now, almost a month away from release, the developers revealed that the price has been lowered to $39.99.
They explained the reasoning behind the decision in a post on Twitter/X: "We believe the game has the quality, fidelity, and playtime in this 20-hour story to go toe-to-toe with many 'full price' titles. Still, this Fall is stacked, and there's high demand for your time and money."
They added that the game won't have pre-orders, as they want players to purchase the game when they have a full picture of its quality, creativity, and craft.
In the post, they also announced that there will be a Deluxe Edition of the game, which will include a major story DLC launching in 2027, along with various cosmetic packs available from now until then. Its price will be $59.99.
The game is set to be released on October 13, 2026. You can add it to your wishlist on Steam; it will also be available for Xbox Series X/S and PS5.
