Hello, Xbox! I am very happy to finally say this: Shape of Dreams is available today on XBOX Series X|S, and it is day one with XBOX Game Pass.
It has been one year since we first opened the world of dreams. In that time, more than 1.5 million players have entered it. Today that world opens on XBOX -and it does not arrive alone. Our biggest update yet, The Starless Path, launches at the same moment.
Step Into the World of Dreams
Shape of Dreams is a co-op action roguelite. You take on the role of one of nine Travelers, each drawn to the Rapids for a different reason, and descend deep into a dreamscape that reshapes itself every time you enter.
Each of the nine playable Travelers fights completely differently. To name a few, Lacerta fights with firearms, Shell wields a blade, and Nachia commands summoned companions. Every Traveler has their own weapons and abilities, a unique combat rhythm, and a personal story waiting to be uncovered.
Every Run Builds a Different Dream
Combat here is fast, stylish hack-and-slash action, and how you fight is completely up to you. Memories are your abilities. Essences modify and combine with them. With over 200 Memories and Essences to draw from, no two runs shape the same way, and there is no single correct build waiting to be solved.

Some runs turn you into a frost mage freezing everything in place. Others build toward critical strikes, or summoned allies, or sheer maximum health. Finding a combination nobody expected is the heart of this game.
Play Solo, or Co-op for Up to Four Players
You can play Shape of Dreams alone from beginning to end. But the Rapids change when you bring company – enemies come faster and hit harder, and builds start working together in ways they never could alone. Up to four Travelers can share the same dream in online co-op.

The game supports cross-play from day one, so you can adventure with other XBOX players – and with friends on other platforms as well.
The Starless Path
The Starless Path is the largest update we have ever made, and the XBOX version includes all of its content from day one.

A new Traveler joins the roster. Cetus is a ranged fighter who wields the frost within his body. He builds up frost to unleash devastating bursts, controls the battlefield with massive glaciers, and protects his allies. More than a conventional tank or support character, Cetus can take on a wide range of roles depending on how you build him — from a ranged mage dealing massive burst damage from the back line to a heavy melee bruiser tearing through the front.
A new path, and a new ending. The Way of Stars expands how you grow with each Traveler. Every time you play one, their episodes connect like a constellation, revealing illustrations, exclusive emotes, and hidden stories. Follow it far enough and a new ending opens – a new adventure, and a stronger final boss than any before it.
Broken stars, old memories. Six shared Identity Memories have been added, letting you uncover the secrets of the Rapids and replace a Traveler’s core playstyle. Heroic bosses have also gained harder attack patterns at higher difficulties, so even familiar fights have teeth again.
One Year of Updates – All of It Included Today
Shape of Dreams launched on Steam in September 2025, and we have kept building on it ever since. XBOX players will benefit from the learnings of our early build -every improvement we have made over the past year is already incorporated into the version you download today.
We added Limbo, an endgame difficulty far beyond Nightmare, for Travelers who wanted a real test. We introduced new shrines and rewards that let you steer a build rather than simply accept the one you are handed. We completely overhauled critical strike mechanics and carried out a broad balance pass on Memories and Essences, reviving forgotten options and greatly expanding the range of viable builds. And throughout, we kept working on performance and stability -work the XBOX version builds directly on top of.
None of this is something you have to wait for. It is all here, from your first run.
Day One with Xbox Game Pass

Shape of Dreams is available with XBOX Game Pass from day one, so members can step into the Rapids right away. A console bonus costume, Crimson Flash Lacerta, is also available to all Xbox players, including Game Pass members, with no purchase required. You can claim it in game.
One year ago we asked a question: will you risk it all to shape your dreams? Today we get to ask it to all of you.
See you in the Rapids.
