Ikea Announces Official New Line Of Xbox Furniture
Ikea's New Xbox Range Includes Giant Thumbsticks And D-Pads To Sit On
Xbox has announced plans for a rather unique team-up with Ikea. The brands have been working together on a line of furniture inspired by 25 years of Xbox products, with some items from the collection shown off ahead of the collab getting a full reveal at Gamescom.
Xbox Furniture Is Coming To Ikea
The unlikely crossover was revealed by both Xbox and Ikea on Instagram, confirming that those attending Gamescom will be able to get hands-on with some of the furniture next week. How much will be included in the range remains unclear, but we have been shown at least three items Xbox fans will be able to pick up from Ikea once the collection goes on sale.
The biggest and best item in the collection revealed so far is a giant thumbstick. A seriously scaled-up replica of the thumbsticks on an Xbox controller, the idea seems to be that the novelty furniture will function as a stool. The teaser shows a close-up of the thumbstick, while a wider image of how the Xbox x Ikea Gamescom booth shows it in all its glory, although it’s unclear where images of the booth have come from since Gamescom hasn’t even started yet, so take anything you see outside of the official teaser below with a pinch of salt, for now.
Scaled Up Thumbsticks And D-Pads
The other item we’re shown via the official teaser is a green d-pad cushion. There appears to be a second black d-pad option that will be a part of the collection, but again, our only look at that so far is via the images of the Gamescom booth. The black d-pad wasn’t shown off in the teaser posted by Xbox and Ikea.
There will almost certainly be more to this collection than a thumbstick stool and a couple of d-pad cushions. We just might not know what else it has to offer until those at Gamescom take it for a test drive and report back. At the very least, the room in your house that’s decked out with cushions modeled after scaled-up versions of various controllers available at the Nintendo museum can now have an Xbox corner.

Not only will those visiting the fast food chain across the UK and Ireland be able to try menu items inspired by some of Xbox’s biggest IPs, but they’ll also get codes for in-game items in Fallout 76, Halo: Campaign Evolved, and more.
