Halo: Campaign Evolved - How To Unlock Third Person
Halo: Campaign Evolved introduces a ton of new features to the classic experience from Halo: CE, including several brand-new gameplay mechanics and challenging new modes such as Campaign Remix. While all of these features are exciting (and there's unfortunately still no PvP multiplayer component), they take a bit of work to fully unlock.
One such example is the option to use a third-person camera perspective for Master Chief, something that hasn't been an option in any Halo games to date. Outside some limited instances of zooming out for a third-person view, such as when using a Warthog or vehicle, during assassinations, etc., Halo: Campaign Evolved is the first time players can select third person as a permanent fixture during any given mission.
How To Unlock Third Person View In Halo: Campaign Evolved
To unlock third person, or any new feature in Halo: Campaign Evolved for that matter, you're going to need to track down the associated Skull. As you'll remember from the original game, Skulls are collectible items placed at random throughout each mission. In Campaign Evolved, there are 42 Skulls in total, with three found in every Mission level and each Bonus Mission, as well as three that are unlocked automatically after collecting any three Skulls in general.
For the choice to play in third-person camera view, you have to find the Perspective Skull, which is fortunately available quite early on in the game in The Pillar of Autumn starting Mission. After you've found the Perspective Skull, you can enable Third-Person before the start of any Mission going forward from the Skull menu.

How To Find The Perspective Skull In Halo: Campaign Evolved
The Perspective Skull is among the first collectible Skulls you'll be able to grab in Halo: Campaign Evolved, found in the starting mission in The Pillar of Autumn. After reaching Rally Point Charlie and the main bridge of the ship, you'll notice two pilots at the helm with a ladder between them (shown above). If you jump down into this area of the ship, the Perspective Skull is located in the corner there and you can pick it up to unlock the option to use third-person perspective, hence the Skull name.
If you already grabbed the other two Skulls on the level, Speed Limit and Magnified, as well as activated the Terminal, you'll also unlock the Clean Sweep trophy, the three automatic Skulls (Adaptation, Reload, and Armistice), as well as the Campaign Remix option which allows you to play a randomized version of each mission in Halo: Campaign Evolved.
