Another Classic Disney Game Is Getting Delisted On Xbox
Toy Story 3 Is About To Disappear From The Xbox Store

There will be at least one casualty, though, as Xbox has now quietly confirmed that the original version of Toy Story 3 will be delisted to make way for its remaster.
Toy Story 3 was originally released on Xbox 360. However, thanks to the platform’s ongoing efforts to make as many games as possible backwards compatible, you can still buy and play the Disney platformer on modern platforms. That’s why it’s still available to buy on the Xbox store, but that will change on September 29, 2026.
Toy Story 3 Will Be Delisted On Xbox This September
Spotted by True Achievements, Toy Story 3’s store page now includes a footnote revealing the game will no longer be available to buy from September 29. It notes that the reason for this is because, from October 15, Toy Story 3’s Complete Edition, a remastered version of the game that includes all of its content, will be released.
If you already own Toy Story 3 on Xbox, you will still be able to play and re-download it even after its delisting date has passed. It's worth checking if you already own a copy, too, as it was previously given away as part of the now-defunct Games with Gold program. Physical copies will still be out there, of course, but news of the digital version’s imminent delisting has already resulted in asking prices for second-hand copies skyrocketing.
There are already people trying to sell physical copies of the game for north of $200 on eBay. That’s mighty ambitious when you still have six more weeks to buy it for $9.99 on the Xbox store. It will then be just 16 days until you can play its remaster, alongside the Retro Roundup, a collection of older Toy Story games that will be released on all modern platforms the same day.
Disney Has Been On A Delisting Spree In 2026
It’s never great to see a game delisted, as it will likely never be available to buy again, although at least in this case there’s a reason for it. Other games that have disappeared from various storefronts already this year remain unavailable, with no sign of any remasters or replacements on the horizon.
Disney kicked off the year by removing 14 of its classic games from various storefronts; the 2D Hercules game released alongside the movie the most notable among them. It then doubled that number three months later with Star Wars: Dark Forces among the second batch of casualties. Hopefully that means we’re going to get more Disney remasters and collections after Toy Story. Even if we are, that still doesn’t take away from the fact that almost 30 Disney games have been delisted already this year and are currently unavailable anywhere outside of paying over the odds for physical copies.
