First 8 Mario Minifigure Sets Revealed Via New Lego Leak

Lego Mario Leaks Reveal Details About Its First-Ever Minifigure Sets

Lego has already confirmed that we’ll be getting our first-ever Mario minifigures in 2027. Now a Lego leak has potentially revealed details about the first batch of Mario minifigure sets, including a more exact release window.

Lego showed off its first Mario figure on March 10 - otherwise known as Mario Day - by having the minifigure jump out of a warp pipe. Nothing more was revealed at the time, but as expected, according to these new leaks anyway, there will be a lot more members of the Mushroom Kingdom getting the minifigure treatment next year.

Which Characters Will Be Part Of Mario's First Wave Of Minifigures

While the leaks don’t include a full list of which characters will be getting their own minifigures, the names of some of the leaked minifigure sets have given the game away. There are eight sets on the list leaked by The UniBricks and shared by the typically reliable Brick Built Blogs, with character names shedding some light on who else will be a part of the collection.

For example, one of the sets is called Fire Luigi vs. Koopa Troopa, so it seems a safe bet that both of those characters will have minifigures. Fire Mario and Bowser’s Castle implies the King of the Koopas will have a minifigure too. Luigi and Bowser Jr’s Mario Kart set means Bowser’s boy will get one as well, and a Yoshi at Mario’s House set makes Yoshi the one other character we can assume will be getting a minifigure based on these leaked set names alone.

It seems likely characters such as Peach and Toad will have minifigures included with some of these sets too; they just aren’t mentioned in any of the set names. The other four sets are called Racing with Mario, Mario’s Beach Adventures, Bowser’s Rumbling Kart, and Mario’s Pipe Jump, which is almost certainly the one we were shown as part of the Mario Day minifigure teaser.

Mario Minifigure Sets Prices And Release Window

The leak claims all eight sets will be released in January 2027. No exact date, but that almost certainly means they will be available to buy from January 1. New Year’s Day tends to be one of the biggest days of the year for new Lego sets. The best part of the leak is not the release window nor the set details, though - it’s the prices.

If accurate, the sets will start from just $9.99 for the Mario’s Pipe Jump set. The Fire Mario & Bowser’s Castle set is on the more expensive side at $99.99, but most of the others are closer to that $10 range than the $100 one. As it should be for Mario sets, and a welcome change after some of the more expensive Pokemon sets we’ve had to save for this year.

Nintendo has been working with Lego to create Mario sets for six years. The decision to create blocky interactive figures was one that hasn’t sat well with some fans who wished Lego had just gone down the minifigure route. Those fans are finally about to get their wish, and not only do they not have long to wait, but this leak suggests they’ll have a lot of options across various affordable price points.
