FC 27 beta: Rumoured start date and what to expect — Gaming

It's that time of the year again, the time building up to the launch of a brand-new EA Sports FC game. While we await its full release, there's an FC 27 beta to look forward to, but when is its start date?

As it has been in previous editions of EA's yearly football game, there is an FC 27 closed beta that was sent out via emails to lucky players.

If you didn't get the beta confirmation invite via email, you will not have access to the closed beta. Sorry, we don't make the rules.

For those lucky so-and-sos who got an invite, you'll be wanting to know when the closed beta start date is and what's included. Read on to find out everything you need to know about the FC 27 beta!

When is the FC 27 beta start date? Rumoured start times

The FC 27 closed beta start date is rumoured to be Wednesday 5th August.

EA is yet to officially reveal when the start date and times are for the closed beta, but rumours are pointing towards it beginning on 5th August for those lucky enough to have access.

It's rumoured that the closed beta will run until 25th August 2026. A month before the game's full launch on 25th September.

As these are rumours, we'll keep our eyes peeled for an official confirmation of the FC 27 beta start date and update this page as necessary.

What to expect from the FC 27 beta

As with previous EA Sports FC games, the FC 27 beta is expected to be limited to a set list of modes per player.

This means you may have access to one (or more) of the following modes during your beta participation:

Kick-Off
Rush
Clubs
The Grounds
Seasons
Online Friendlies
Ultimate Team

Primarily, the closed beta is intended for EA to learn of any bugs/issues players have with the game and its modes before its full release.

As such, you will be expected to let EA know what you thought of your experience during the beta so they can make adjustments based on player feedback.

Closed betas such as this one will not allow you to share gameplay footage with others. What you experience during the beta is for you (and the development team) only.

FC 27 will be released on Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC on 25th September 2026.
