Avengers: Doomsday & Secret Wars Quietly Add 2 Major MCU Writers

Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars just got busier.

The Wrap has reported that Spider-Man: Brand New Day writers Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers are officially joining the team for Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. The news was previously announced seemingly accidentally by Brand New Day director Destin Daniel Cretton when he stated the writers left production for the upcoming Avengers movies. In an interview with McKenna and Sommers, they confirmed the announcement and stated:

Sommers: "We’re happy to say we are involved with the Avengers. We can’t really say much more than that. We love working with Marvel and we have a relationship with the Russos, and it’s a pleasure. It’s a real pleasure."
