QUIET is the 'Alien Ducks' Horror Game That Quacked the 250,000-Player Mark

A plucky ducky of a horror game is arriving in 2027, with QUIET serving up its own brand of alien-inspired terror. QUIET has been building noise for a while, so much so that it’s reported that over a quarter of a million players tuned in to try out the game’s debut playtest.

You might have caught the very special Insider Access showing off a certain QUIET reveal trailer! We’ve been spitting feathers for QUIET‘s first playtest, and evidently, so have many others.

The official numbers are in: QUIET’s first playtest recorded 271,132 players!

QUIET is a typical 1-4-player horror game where every sound you make is heard in the environment, and you need to avoid alerting the homeowner whilst helping your crash-landed ducks escape their temporary new prison.

QUIET had ‘more than 270,000 players across 148 countries,’ and a lot of stats and vital data were recorded from the first worldwide hands-on with the horror title.

Here are even more stats about the playtest:

  • 350,403 players signed up for the playtest.
  • 271,132 players downloaded and took part in the playtest together.
  • Players from 148 countries around the world participated.
  • 800+ Twitch streams went live during the playtest.
  • 420+ videos were produced.
  • Over 820 thoughtful player survey responses were collected.

Steam lists QUIET for a Q1 2027 launch, so hopefully there will be another playtest between now and then. You’d be quackers to miss out on any subsequent playtest sessions.
