Every Card Revealed From Pokemon TCG Pocket's Upcoming Rayquaza Set
Mega Rayquaza And Every Other Card From Pokemon TCG Pocket's Ruler Of The Skies Revealed So Far
Dena took a rather unconventional approach last month by revealing details about July's next Pokemon TCG Pocket set before June's had even been shown off. That's because this upcoming set has a rather notable star - the beloved Rayquaza. Now that we're less than a week away from the set's arrival, which will be called Ruler of the Skies, some of its cards have been revealed. You can check out everything we've been shown so far below.
Mega Rauquaza ex Headlines
There were fewer cards shown in the trailer for Ruler of the Skies than usual, with just 11 cards from the upcoming set revealed. The biggest of those 11 is, of course, the Pokemon that will be gracing the cover of this particular set's booster pack - Mega Rayquaza. Rayquaza has only been featured as a promo card in Pocket until now, which means this headline slot will technically be the headliner's Pocket debut
Three other cards with a four-diamond rarity were revealed during the same trailer, two of which are also Mega Evolutions - Mega Metagross and Mega Gallade. Rounding out the 4D cards is a regular old, but still very welcome, Swanna.
As always, the rarest cards from the upcoming expansion shown in the trailer were one-star cards. The first one to appear is not only my favorite card of the 11 shown, but one of the best-looking cards we've seen in Pocket for a while. It's a full-art Genesect, and it's stunning.
It will be joined by a one-star Dragonair card in Ruler of the Skies, which also looks pretty great. Hopefully a sign that we're going to have some good-looking cards to collect in this set, not that Pocket has exactly been slacking on that front.
No three-diamond cards have been shown so far, but we did get a good look at four of the two-diamond cards from the set. Just one of them features a Pokemon, and that Pokemon is Absol. The other three are Supporter and Stadium cards featuring Skyla, Wally, and Rainbow Cave.
Last but most certainly not least was the only one-diamond card to make it into the final cut of the Ruler of the Skies Trailer, and it features the humble Psyduck. One of the most popular and well-known Pokemon from Gen 1 outside of Pikachu and the original starters, this will be Psyduck's seventh Pocket card.
New Pokemon TCG Pocket sets release during the last week of every month, which means the Ruler of the Skies expansion will be available in-game starting from Wednesday, July 29, 2026. You'll be able to start ripping open the new Rayquaza-themed packs at 8 pm EST on that day.
