Game Of Thrones: Into The North Officially Releases On August 23
Game of Thrones is currently in one of the most exciting periods in the franchise's history, with several upcoming projects that will keep us busy while we wait for George R.R. Martin to finish Winds of Winter and Dream of Spring, however long that may be.
With House of the Dragon Season 3 wrapping up earlier this month, we're in for an epic finale when the show returns for its final season. The Aegon's Conquest film will finally see Game of Thrones hit the big screen, while The Mad King play has already become a smash-hit. Further, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will officially kick off its second season in 2027, with the exciting release of the War for Westeros real-time strategy game coming next year as well.
Despite all these projects, fans of Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire universe are still left with some major burning questions, particularly when it comes to the various mysteries surrounding the Long Night, the Children of the Forest, the First Men, and how the books will handle the creation of the Wights, as well as the origins of the dreaded Night King.
Fortunately, fans can officially venture beyond The Wall on August 23 to see the Night King again with the release of Game of Thrones: Into the North (via GoTL).
The Night King Cometh In Game Of Thrones: Into The North
Into the North is a brand-new, limited-time event running from August 23 at 4:00AM EDT to September 2 at 4:00AM EDT that will take fans far north past The Wall to get reacquainted with the Night King himself. It's one of several events scheduled for Game of Thrones: Legends during this month's packed calendar, and serves as one of two different Legend Trials for the month of August.
Legend Trials in Game of Thrones: Legends are basically limited-time, story-themed versions of the normal Trials mode, with Legendary Champion shards as the main prize. They also allow players to earn Champion Shards for iconic Legendary Champions from across the franchise, with Into the North showcasing the Night King enemy in the frigid region north of The Wall.
You can access Legend Trials through the Trials map in your Stronghold, and like regular Trials, you work through a series of battles that get progressively harder, spending Campaign Energy as you go. Trials also include unique rules such as Champion restrictions or bonuses based on faction, class, rarity, or color.
Game of Thrones: Legends is Zynga's long-running mobile puzzle RPG that lets players assemble a dream team of characters from Game of Thrones' various IPs, including House of the Dragon, Game of Thrones itself, and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
This month is packed with great content, including the currently running Battle of Blackwater Bay event and the upcoming Assault on Rook's Rest event that will revisit The Queen Who Never Was, Rhaenys Targaryen's tragic downfall.
