Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Remake Official Release Date Update Shared By Nintendo
Nintendo is having a pretty strong year with the Nintendo Switch 2. It got a decent amount of support on the eShop, and Nintendo released Yoshi & The Mysterious Book, Star Fox, and Splatoon Raiders over the last few months, starting in May. There's much more on the way, including the Ocarina of Time remake, but not everything is fully dated yet.
As fans wait to see what Nintendo has planned for the holiday season, we just got an update from an unexpected place, based on new data presented directly by Nintendo. In Nintendo's official August financial report, there's aconfirmation of the release window for the Ocarina of Time remake [via Vice].
At the moment, all we have to go on for the Ocarina of Time remake is that it's being released sometime this year, but the lack of info has caused a lot of Nintendo fans to worry that it'll slip into 2026. The latest leak hints that we could see a full release for the remake on November 11, coinciding with an amiibo drop, but that's currently speculation.
What isn't speculative, though, is the latest update from Nintendo. Here is everything Nintendo is reaffirming for 2026 and 2027 in the report, as of this week:

You might notice that Ocarina of Time sticks out like a sore thumb. The report includes a simple graphic and the phrase "Ocarina of Time is also scheduled to be released this year," following the announcement that Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is launching in October.
Here's what Nintendo had to say in the report: "These games—which include evergreen titles that we anticipate to have stable sales over the long term—take advantage of the enhanced performance and new features of Nintendo Switch 2, and we believe they will all become major contributors toward expanding the Nintendo Switch 2 user base."
We're just a few months away from the end of 2026, and Nintendo is still saying that Ocarina of Time will be released this year. That's a great sign that we won't see any more delays, and that the game is presumably ready for prime time after some additional marketing. Expect a Direct at some point before its launch.
