Walton Goggins Treats Everyone Watching Fallout Season 3 Being Filmed To The Sight Of Him Peeling Off His Prosthetics
Fallout Season 3 is being shot now, and at least one set has been partially open to the public. Fans who found the set have been sharing pictures and videos, giving us a better idea of what we'll get to see in the next season.
I had assumed that these leaks came from people sneaking a few pictures through any gaps they could find, as we saw in previous seasons. However, we now have a video of Walton Goggins straight up talking to fans who are standing nearby, so I guess the crew have given up on trying to keep everything hidden at this point. Goggins even gave fans a real treat - the sight of him removing his prosthetics for the day.
Walton Goggins Removing His Ghoul Face Is A Lot Smoother Than I Thought It Would Be
As you can see in the video, Goggins spent some time with the fans after filming had wrapped for the day. I am assuming it had wrapped, anyway, because he decided to get out of his ghoul makeup, and I can't imagine he'd be in a rush to sit down and have it reapplied again.
To take it off, he just gets his hands under the prosthetics and rips away. I am in awe of how clean it is, as barely any remains on his face afterwards. I guess part of me assumed it was a careful process so it could easily be reused, but maybe that's a little unhygienic after a day of filming - or just won't look too good after some wear and tear.
A report in The Set List from January of this year went into the process, explaining how initial attempts to get Goggins ready for the role took five hours. That was halved by the time Season 1 was shooting, and shortened even more in time for Season 2, by getting the prosthetics pre-painted before applying them to his face. So, it sure sounds like these prosthetics are single-use.
Putting ghoul prosthetics aside for a moment, I am sure many of us have enjoyed how open this Fallout Season 3 set is. It's given us this early look at The Ghoul, as well as hints that fan-favourite character Joshua Graham will make an appearance. Fans are already tracking other filming locations, so fingers crossed, there will be more leaks.
