Faz Colher e Borda o Cabo

The book Faz Colher e Borda o Cabo (“Carve the spoon, then embroider the handle”) is published by a collective at Centro Cultural Vale Maranhão (CCVM), with graphic design by ps.2 arquitetura + design.

The publication gathers research, narratives, and processes showing there is no border between everyday making and a people’s cultural expression. A natural encounter: Seiva grew from that same mix, with voluminous organic forms charged with life and fine details that only reveal themselves up close.

The typeface Seiva, grown in Brazilian soil, found a home at the headlines and chapter openings. In the body text, Seiva gives way to Austin Text.
