Siamo noi, non io (“It’s us, not me”) tells the stories of 15 volunteers at Fondazione Policlinico Sant’Orsola in Bologna who give their time to support people going through illness. Written by journalist Micaela Romagnoli, illustrated by Francesca Ballarini, and designed by Demetrio Mancini, the book explores what it means to give one’s time — what motivates that gesture and what it gives back.

Body text is set in HAL Timezone, while HAL Timezone Mono distinguishes the direct quotes from the volunteers recounting their own experiences, a typographic device that allows their voices to stand apart from the narrative. The cover, table of contents, and chapter opening pages are handwritten by Francesca Ballarini.
