The Muppet Movie titles
Happy 50th birthday to The Muppet Show! Created by Jim Henson and starring the Muppets, the TV series first aired in the UK on 5 September 1976. Two and a half years later, in May 1979, the first theatrical film to feature the Muppets followed. The Muppet Movie is a musical road comedy, directed by James Frawley and produced by Henson.
The titles feature no less than three of the ultrageometric display faces that were so popular in the 1970s. While the opening title pairs Optex (main title and names) with Prismania (roles), the end credits use ITC Bauhaus.
