Le rêve d’être artiste (“The Dream of Becoming an Artist”) was an art exhibition at the Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille, bringing together Albrecht Dürer, Marina Abramović, Jacques-Louis David, Édouard Manet, Frida Kahlo, Jeff Koons and many more.

But what makes an artist an artist? The exhibition highlights how artists came to build their own myth and step into the spotlight.
