Backyard Farms is a Maine-based greenhouse tomato brand from Mastronardi Produce. Freshmade’s redesign of backyardfarms.com brings them into a more playful, motion-driven space. The design leans into the brand’s signature primary colors and emblematic white picket fence. Sculpin, from Process Type Foundry, carries the identity across headlines, subheads, buttons, and navigation. Its high-contrast joins, sharp cuts, and reverse terminals draw on a mix of American sign painting, Swiss Modernism, and stone carving to give the brand a confident, hand-finished edge. Alongside it, Gilmer, a geometric sans from Piotr Łapa for Łapa Type with echoes of Futura and ITC Avant Garde Gothic, lends its big x-height and neo-grotesk clarity for supporting contrast.
