Brand Identity: Estúdio Drama Graphic System

Explore the brand identity for Estúdio Drama, featuring a hand-drawn custom logotype, raw character illustrations, and electric color palettes.

Brazilian graphic design studio Estúdio Drama created its own comprehensive brand identity in 2025 to articulate an unapologetic, visceral creative stance. Rather than relying on off-the-shelf digital display fonts, the studio drew the entire primary logotype by hand, glyph by glyph. Each bespoke character carries distinct anatomical tension, shifting stroke weights, and sharp terminals that convey immediate graphic urgency. That tactile anchor separates the studio from sterile corporate agency branding, establishing a raw baseline that feels immediate, authentic, and deliberate. The identity treats friction as a creative asset rather than an aesthetic flaw.

High-Personality Typefaces in Brand Identity

To support the handcrafted core mark, Estúdio Drama structured an elaborate typographic triad. The system pairs three high-personality typefaces, balancing utilitarian condensed grotesque letterforms with sharp, expressive serif accents and clean geometric mono subheads. Across broadsheet editorial posters, publication grids, and promotional announcements, this typographic contrast drives visual rhythm. Dense informational blocks sit against loose headline scale shifts, letting disciplined negative space guide reader attention across complex compositions while preserving legibility. The multi-tiered typographic hierarchy allows the brand identity to oscillate effortlessly between clinical structure and raw visual chaos.

The secondary visual layer introduces raw figurative illustrations that bring a vital human edge to the graphic framework. Outlined figures, expressive comic-style faces, and gestural line sketches inject spontaneity into print and digital touchpoints. Coupled with an electric palette of intense vermilion red, crisp unbleached cream, and deep carbon black, the comprehensive brand identity transitions across physical merchandise, heavyweight tote bags, screen-printed studio apparel, editorial newsletters, and retail storefront displays. Production execution in Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop guarantees sharp line weights, tight registration, and dependable ink fidelity across every paper stock and physical medium.
