This rendition of Brahms’s Piano Concerto No. 1 was performed by the Cleveland Orchestra with Rudolf Serkin on piano, under conductor George Szell. It was recorded November 30, 1952, at Severance Hall, Cleveland. The album was released by Columbia Masterworks, with an uncredited cover featuring the wide bold caps of Annonce with Century Oldstyle Italic for the typography.
